A
few years ago, I forgot to count Sefira after a long day
in the office.
Back in those days, when I was using Windows 98, I had
to reboot my
computer a couple of times a day to deal with the memory
issues. It
occurred to me that a simple program that would keep track
of the Sefira
count and run automatically when the computer is rebooted
would be a
perfect way not to forget.
The
next year, 2001, I wrote the first version of SefiraCounter.
I
shared it with members of my family and some friends and
they found it
useful so I decided to share it with the world.
This
program is designed to display the current count whenever
you restart
your computer. It will not pop up when it is time to count
but you can put
it on your desktop to remind you to check the count. You
can also add it to
the windows scheduler so it will automatically pop up
at some time during
the day and remind you to count.
As
of this writing there is no new version for 2005; if you
downloaded
SefiraCounter last year, you probably have the latest
version. Of course,
it doesn't hurt to download it again to make sure that
you have the latest
fixes.
